Vishnu Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (VIPER) was established in the year 2007 under Sri Vishnu Educational Society. Our College is situated at Narsapur, Medak (Dt) in pristine environment and inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India on 16th August'2007.It has got approval from AICTE,PCI and JNTU, Hyderabad. The institute is well connected with wireless internet round the clock. It has got good logistic support from sister institutes like Sri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, Bhimavaram and BVRIT, Narsapur, Hyderabad.

Sports at VIPER are an integral part of the curriculum for physical fitness, character building and development of leadership qualities. Confirming the reputation as one of the best sporting institutes in the state, VIPER offers extensive facilities for sports and games.
Excellent hostel facilities have been provided for the students. The hostels have a water heating facility, chilled mineral water, and recreational facilities.
This facility takes care of the medical requirements of the staff and students with the help of a well experienced and qualified doctor, who is available at all times in the campus. Regular medical checkups for the students and staff are organized.
VIPER is located around 50 KMs away from Hyderabad at Narsapur, Medak (District). One can reach it only by road. More than 70 college buses are plying from various corners of Hyderabad, from Sangareddy, Medak, etc.
A fast-food outlet within the campus serves delicious non-vegetarian and vegetarian food at reasonable prices. This outlet is opened from afternoon to 8.30pm at night.
Dr. Ramesh Alluri is President, IPA Narsapur Branch, EC Member, IPA Telangana, and was twice the Secretary of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), A.P. State. Under the guidance of Ramesh Alluri, 10 Ph.D. scholars have been awarded with Ph.D. He is also a member of the BOS for many universities and has participated actively as a member in many national-level committees framed by PCI, IPA, etc. He has 89 research publications to his credit in peer-reviewed national and international journals, and a few of them have received Best Paper Awards also. He presented at more than 24 national/international conferences, specifically in the USA, Europe, Dubai, Australia, South Africa, and Singapore. He received several grants as Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, and Mentor for national funding agencies like MSME, DST, AICTE, and SERB, worth ₹3.2 Cr. He has written several books and chapters, with 12 to his credit. Dr. Ramesh A. is honoured with the Best Pharmacy Teacher Award from His Excellency Hon’ble Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan, Governor of Telangana; received an award for Services to Minority International Research Training (MIRT), Alcorn State University, Mississippi; Best Pharma Teacher Award at the Indo-Global Summit 2015; Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar Award – 2015; Best Principal Award – 2019; IPA Fellowship Award – 2020; TITA Educational Award – Best Researcher of the Year – 2022; and Operant Pharmacy Federation – Best Principal Award 2024–25.
